Fed. govt. bans new appointments

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to cut heightening financial expenses, the federal government has placed ban on new appointments at government departments, Geo News reported Tuesday.

 

According to Finance Ministry statement, new appointments, at all government departments operating under federal government, have been banned for an indefinite period.

 

He said that new appointments will only be made at those government offices whereat vacancies have already been advertised in various newspapers or vacancies’ placement is under process.

 

According to sources, the government has reached this decision owing to slash rising expenses.
