Militant held, explosive seized

JAMRUD: The officials of the political administration and the security forces arrested a militant and seized explosive from a house in Ghundi area in Jamrud tehsil in Khyber Agency on Saturday, official sources said.
They said that acting on a tip-off, the officials of the political administration and the security forces raided a house in Ghundi area and arrested a militant identified as Umar.
The security forces shifted the held militant to an undisclosed location for an interrogation.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers raided an abandoned house and seized the explosive and defused it in a deserted place.
The Khassadar personnel barricaded the Torkham-Peshawar road near Jamrud bus stop and signalled a van to stop.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and managed to escape the scene. On thorough search, the officials recovered 61 kilogram of drugs from the vehicle.
