CHARSADDA: The Government Elementary Girls College has not been able to implement the security code chalked out by the government for providing foolproof security to educational institutions for lack funds.
The college is spread over 44-kanals land. The boundary wall around the college is 1,400 feet in length but it is just five feet high. The administration has neither fixed a metal detector, nor walkthrough gates at the entrance of the college. The administration has not even installed CCTV cameras inside and around the college.
When this correspondent contacted the college, a senior clerk Asmatullah said the principal was on leave till February 28. About security arrangements, he said the boundary wall could not be raised due to shortage of funds. He said the college administration would take security measures after receiving funds for the purpose.
