KARAK: The residents of Takht-e-Nusrati on Thursday took to the streets against the suspension of power and gas supply to the tehsil.The protesters blocked the Amberi Killay-Darratang road for traffic at the main Takht-e-Nusrati bazaar.
Led by President of Khattak Democratic Front Malik Fareed Azam, Takht-e-Nusrati Qaumi Tehreek general secretary Malik Arshad Azizi and Sultan Khan, the protesters marched from the main bus stand and gathered at the main Takht-e-Nusrati bazaar. The protesters shouted slogans against the Pesco and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
Addressing the gathering, the leaders complained that the gas and power supply to the tehsil has been suspended for the last three days without any solid reasons. They claimed that the SNGPL always making lame excuses for suspension of gas to the tehsil. They set 24 hours deadline.
