PARACHINAR: A complete shutdown was observed as Mehdi Al-Hussaini, the grandson of Arif Hussain Al-Hussaini, who was killed in a bomb explosion in Peshawar, was laid to rest here Saturday.

Mehdi Al-Hussaini and 14 other persons were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside Madrassa Al-Hussainia in Peshawar on Friday.A large number of people attended his funeral in Parachinar where three-day mourning had been announced to condemn the terrorist act. All the shops and markets remained shut in Parachinar, headquarters of Kurram Agency.

Talking to reporters, father of Mehdi Al-Hussaini, Allama Syed Ali Hussaini said that his son had embraced martyrdom and he was proud of him. However, he lamented that innocent people were being killed, which was against the teachings of Islam.
