CHARSADDA: Four persons, including a woman, were killed when two rival groups traded fire here on the By-pass Road in the limits of City Police Station on Tuesday.

 

Sources said the rivals while accusing each other for opening fire first registered first information reports against each other.One Nasir told the police that he along with his friends Kausar Khan and Haleem Gul were on the way to home after appearing in a case in court when the accused Alambaz, Tauseef, Saeed, Masood and Hussain Muhammad opened fire on them.

 

He added that he along with his friends sustained wounds in the fire while a woman identified as Safia Bibi who was at the rooftop of her house in the locality was hit by a bullet and died on the spot. He informed the police that a passerby Bakht Jan also was killed in the fire while two others, including Muhammad Nawaz and Rukhsana Bibi, sustained injuries in the incident.

 

On the other hand, Alambaz got an FIR registered against Kausar Khan, Akhtar, Asad and Zeshan accusing them of killing his son Tauseef and Saadi Khan on the spot and injuring him and one Masood. The family members of the slain woman got registered a report with the police against both the groups, the sources said.
