Islamabad: With the temperature hovering around 40 degree Centigrade, Islamabad and the adjoining Rawalpindi city are likely to receive showers during the next 48 hours.
According to Amjad Mehmood of the Met Office, mainly hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country in the next two days.
However, rain accompanied by strong winds and thunders is likely to fall at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hazara, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions, FATA, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said there was no likelihood of a fresh heat wave hitting Karachi in near future.
The weatherman said temperature was likely to be around 47 degree Centigrade in southern Punjab, upper Sindh, and Balochistan's Sibi and Makran divisions.
