Islamabad: Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Barrister Usman Ibrahim on Wednesday ordered the completion of syllabi under the new five working days week scheme for government educational institutions in Islamabad.
Lately, the CADD announced closure of government schools and colleges in the city on Saturdays and Sundays.
Earlier, they used to remain open from Monday to Saturday.
In a statement issued here, the minister issued directions for increase in the daily study hours to compensate for additional weekly holiday.
“We’ve increased the number of periods from seven to eight per day so that the weekly target of 40 hours of studies could be met under the new setup,” he said.
The minister directed the relevant authorities to ensure early completion of syllabi.
