The Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights and the Asia Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for protection and promotion of human rights in the country.
In this connection, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights and the Asia Foundation jointly organised an orientation workshop here on Tuesday in Islamabad on the project ‘Strengthening Human Rights Capacities of Provincial Governments’. The project involves strategic collaboration with the provincial governments to promote and protect human rights and responsibly address issues of abuses and violations. TAF in partnership with the ministry and concerned provincial departments will review and analyze existing laws, policies, and procedures to identify and address the gaps, opportunities, and challenges of effective implementation of human rights. The project in consultation with all stakeholders will build the capacity of tri-partite (provincial-federal-civil society) partners to promote better working relationships and communication/information sharing.
