Simon Askey, acting head of undergraduate Law Programme for University of London International Programmes accompanied by Saad Wasim, country head Pakistan, for University of London International Programmes, visited Wellington Campus, here on Thursday.
The Roots International Schools (RIS) Wellington is one of the top colleges in Pakistan that offers LLB programme of University of London, which itself is the pioneer in offering the gold standard LLB Programme. Mr. Simon had a meeting with RIS CEO Walid Mushtaq and all the LLB faculty members of Law program at Wellington Campus. Mr. Simon and Mr. Walid established to augment the collaboration and interaction between the two institutes and discussed the strategic implementation of organisation’s growth and maintenance of standards within the institute. In the second half of his visit, Mr. Simon visited lecture halls and interacted with law students of A-levels and LLB. He appreciated the standard of quality education being imparted at Roots International Schools. The student body of RIS had an informative discussion with Mr. Simon Askey, who was delighted to see the intellect of Rootsians and answered their queries in a very compassionate manner.
On this occasion, CEO Roots International Schools, Walid Mushtaq emphasised that such programs prove to be a stepping stone for the students of Roots International Schools to interact and socialize with the senior representatives from University of London on one large platform.
He laid great importance on enriching the youth and making them global decision makers, as he disapproves the classic classroom education approach and looks forward to the “beyond the conventional textbook style of education”, as he staunchly believes in practical experience of educating, empowering and enlightening the youth.
