LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board intends to see women cricket flourish more to become the most popular female’s sport in the years to come.
This was stated by head of PCB women cricket in Pakistan Shahid Aslam while speaking at the closing ceremony of Galaxy Sports Academy School Cricket Initiative for girls organized in collaboration with Bali Memorial Trust School.
Shahid Aslam said ICC has set 2030 as the target year to make women’s cricket a world’s most popular sport in female and promoting the sport at school level will be a great step towards achieving that goal. Shahid added Pakistani girls are full of cricketing talent but they don’t have facilities to showcase their abilities but now PCB has decided to promote them at grass root level.
