Two alleged robbers killed in encounter

Two alleged robbers were killed by the Gulshan Ravi police in an encounter in the wee hours of Saturday. The identifications of the alleged robbers aged 24 to 27 was yet to be known. The officials of the Muhafiz spotted two robbers scaling over the wall of a house in Rustam Park and called the additional force to carry out a round-up of them. The two robbers offered resistance by firing shots at the policemen who also retaliated in the same fashion and killed both robbers. Police also recovered a bike and weapons from their possession. Bodies were shifted to morgue for autopsy.

Police said accused Suleman’s wife had left him on some domestic issue and was staying with her parents. The accused tried to reconcile with his enraged wife who refused to stay with him. On the day of incident, victim Shafique was standing outside a tyre’s shop when accused Suleman approached him and shot and wounded him. The accused escaped from the scene. Injured Shafique was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to wounds. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against Suleman.
found dead: A 60-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Old Anarkali police station on Saturday. Police claimed the man, yet to be identified, might have died of some medical complications. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
