LAHORE
A 45-year-old watchman was found dead at his workplace in Khokhar village Badami Bagh on Sunday. He was identified as Mohammad Akbar, a resident of Badami Bagh, served as a watchman in a trading company in Khokhar village. On the day of the incident, the victim’s body found lying outside his workplace apparently bore no marks of torture, police said, adding that the body had been dispatched to mortuary. In another incident, a 35-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Shahdara police station on Saturday. The victim was identified as Mohammad Rafique of Farrakhabad, Bagum Kot. Police said that Rafique, a fisherman by profession, had been buried under mudslide while catching fish. Police shifted the body to morgue.
HIT TO DEATH: A 15-year-old bike rider was killed by a bus in the Harbanspura area on Sunday.The victim was identified as Abu Bakar, a resident of Rashidpura. Police said that victim Abu Bakar along with two other bike riders, was passing through Rizwan Garden when Abu Bakar’s bike collided with the bus, resulting into his instant death. Police shifted the body to morgue, arrested the bus driver and impounded the vehicle. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old youth died under mysterious circumstances in the flat of his business partners in the Badami Bagh area on Saturday night. The victim identified as Sadiq was running scrap business along with Atif, Kashif, and Hamza. On the day of the incident, the victim Sadiq was recovered dead from the flat of his partners who claimed that he had committed suicide by strangling himself. However, the victim’s parents accused the three Atif, Kashif and Hamza of killing him over monetary issue. Police shifted the body to morgue.
PRISONER DIES: A 27-year-old prisoner of Kot Lakhpat Jail died of some medical complications here in a local hospital on Saturday.He was identified as Asif, son of Sultan of Sharifpura Cantt Bheni Road, and was jailed in connection with a drugs case registered against him in Manawan police station. Asif's condition went critical almost 15 days back due to serious medical complications, on which he was admitted to a local hospital where he expired. Kot Lakhpat police shifted the body to morgue.
