LAHORE
The weather in the provincial metropolis is likely to change over the next 48 hours courtesy scattered showers, a cool breeze with a cloudy to partly cloudy sky while overall weather conditions are likely to remain unstable during second and third week of the current month.
A shallow westerly wave is passing over north western parts of the country as a result of which the Met Office predicted more rains with dust-thunderstorms at scattered places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Sindh, Balochistan and Kashmir from the coming weekend.
The weather on Monday however was hot and dry with the maximum temperature measuring 40 degree Celsius. The minimum in the city was 22. The maximum across the country was 46 degrees at Turbat.
In the next 24 hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, partly cloudy weather with isolated rain-thunderstorm is expected in Malakand division, upper FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan. Dust raising/gusty winds are also expected in Sindh (Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and Sukkur divisions) during evening/night.
