A women rights forum praised the Punjab government for the decision of establishing violence against women crisis centres.
The forum insisted that the endorsement of pending women empowerment legislative agenda with passing laws on Punjab Protection of Women Against Violence Bill, amendment in family laws, amendment in land and revenue laws for safeguarding the women’s heritance rights and amending child restraint Act 1929 from Punjab legislative assembly was an immediate need.
