A 30-year-old labourer died when the roof of an under-construction building collapsed in Samanabad Police limits on Wednesday.
Police have registered an FIR on the complaint of Bagh Ali, father of the deceased, Shehzad, against contractor Nadeem and the house owner.
arrested: Sherakot Police claimed to have arrested an alleged killer from Multan Road on Wednesday.
According to Investigation In charge Inspector Sheikh Akmal, police tracked the killer by a mobile phone near Dholan Wall. He said the accused admitted to murdering two people including a religious party member Attique-ur-Rehman. He said the accused seemed a mad man and he killed people with no reason. He used to strangle people and did not carry any weapon with him, he added. Meanwhile, Mustafa Abad police arrested three people for their alleged negligence that caused the death of a woman in hospital. Police registered an FIR on the complaint of Shah Rowan, son of the woman, against doctors and the owner of the hospital. Patient Humaira was admitted to a private hospital for a tumor operation but she died after being given a wrong medicine on Tuesday.

Mahmood Ahmed and Sajid Ali were held by FIA officials after they arrived from Libya where they were intercepted with fake Libyan residence and re-entry permits. The FIA team also arrested Line Superintendent Ghazanfar from the spot. In another raid, FIA arrested a proclaimed offender, Rehmat Ali, in case 37/09.
