PUNJAB Livestock & Dairy Development Board launched Pakistan’s first ever online dairy farming guide (


CEO PLDDB Maj-Gen (Retd) Muhammad Ali Khan inaugurated the website.


The website will provide comprehensive information and guidance regarding dairy farming. It will also inform about breeds suitable for dairy farming, selection of animals, modern dairy farm housing, management of animals at different stages, record keeping, farm sanitation and hygiene, feed and nutrition, reproduction, diseases and reproductive disorders.


A directory of government officials, semi governmental and nongovernmental organizations, educational and research institutes, concerned, dairy farmers, breeders, dairy farms, dairy companies, dairy associations, funding agencies, dairy equipment and machinery suppliers, dairy animal suppliers and vendors for dairy farm installation is also included. The CEO, PLDDB said that “articles” and “download” sections were also part of this website. These would be updated regularly with experts’ opinion. He further said the website was linked with facebook and other social media also.
