A story titled “Putting one last nail in polio’s coffin” published on November 2, Monday, erroneously cited WHO representative in Pakistan, Dr Michel Thieren, as blaming polio workers for lax coverage in vaccination drives.
A spokesperson for WHO in Pakistan on Tuesday clarified that Dr Thieren did not blame polio workers in any manner and reiterated the WHO's appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices being rendered by polio workers.
