Rape suspect held

Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in the sexual assault and murder of a minor girl in Safoora Goth. The suspect, 20-year-old Abid Hussain, was apparently caught after an eyewitness told the police about a suspicious man who had visited the girl's uncle on the day of the incident.
SDPO Sohrab Goth Khalid Khan told The News that the police traced the accused through the uncle, who identified the man and told them his address. On Sunday, the police raided a house in Janjal Goth and apprehended Hussain.
