The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday claimed to have arrested a targeted killer said to be affiliated with a political party, who was involved in murders of several policemen.
Addressing a press conference, CTD SSP Operations Usman Aijaz Bajwa said a team under the supervision of SI Raja Arif conducted a raid near Aziz School in Sector 5-B of in Surjani Town. After a shootout, a target killer identified as Syed Babar Hussain Jaffri alias Babar Deputy was taken into custody.
The SSP said the arrested accused was affiliated with MQM-A, and also informed the media that six of his accomplices managed to escape from the spot.
