LAHORE: The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) in collaboration with Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan announced to bring the 14th International Textile Asia Exhibition to Lahore for the first time, a statement said on Monday.
Terming it Punjab’s biggest B2B textile, garment, embroidery, digital printing machineries, and chemical and allied services exhibition, the PRGMEA Central chairman Ijaz Khokhar said the thee-day event will be held at the Lahore Expo Centre from August 29-31.
“PRGMEA is taking steps to boost the export of the value-added sector by bringing latest garment technology to the door step, and this activity is being done to facilitate the exporters of Faisalabad, Multan as well as Sialkot,” he added
The event will provide an effective podium for joint ventures / collaborations to the textile SMEs, 80 percent of which are in Punjab, and have no financial capacity to attend international exhibitions, he revealed. More than 350 international brands from 29 countries will display their products in more than 500 stalls at the fair. Participation of 210 foreign delegates will also mark the event. “Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany,India, Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, USA etc,” he added, would exhibit their products. The Management of Apparel has also been invited to participate in the fair.
PRGMEA vice chairman Malik Naseer said the textile Asia trade show is one of the most enduring events for the past 13 years.
The event is being organised at the most opportune time when the government is looking forward to modernise and upgrade the textile sector for better quality products and enhanced productivity.
