KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) on Thursday announced an oil discovery in Chakwal District, Punjab having an initial flow of 180 barrels per day, a company statement said.
The discovery has been made in lower Sakessar over Chak Naurang South-I exploration well, it said.
"Significant reserves of hydrocarbons have been found. The well initially produced 180bpd of crude oil. This discovery will add hydrocarbon reserves of the company and joint venture partners," Ahmed Hayat at OGDC said.
