PESHAWAR: The district administration on Thursday launched second round of anti-encroachment drive in the provincial capital and demolished a major portion of Gulbahar Police Station and a plaza.
A deadline was issued to a number of persons to either remove encroachments before 12 noon on Friday or face action. Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar Riaz Khan Mahsud supervised the drive against encroachments.
The district administration had earlier informed senior police officials and the provincial government about the police station built on encroached land.An official of the district administration said 27 feet portion of the police station was demolished.
