Man dies in road accident
LAHORE :A 43-year-old man was killed by a speeding car in the Faisal Town area on Sunday. The victim has been identified as Muhammad Sabar. The body was removed to morgue.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Rizwna was badly injured when the dangling end of her duppata got entangled in the rear wheel of a motorbike in the Johar Town area. She was admitted to a local hospital where her condition was stated to be precarious. A man was severely injured by a rashly-driven van in the Subzazar area. The injured man identified as Shaukat was admitted to a local hospital with critical injuries.
motorbikes impounded: Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit (PRU) of Lahore Police helped as many as 92 people on different roads during the last week. Both police wings checked 17,979 motorbikes, 93 other vehicles and 20,749 people. As many as 65 motorbikes and two vehicles were impounded and 153 persons were arrested due to incomplete documents.
Dolphin Squad and PRU also arrested 12 persons for doing wheelie, four for firing into the air and another 157 accused persons for violating the ban on kite flying.
