‘Police stations to be considered as community centres amidst lockdown’
Islamabad: SP Zubair Shaikh said that amidst prevailing lockdown scenario police stations needed to be considered as community centres in crisis times and police force should be treated as partners of all philanthropists so that charities should be carried out in an organised manner.
SP Zubair Sheikh stated that while distributing the edible food, audience turned into mob which not only created the law and order situation but also compromised the precautionary measures of COROVID-19.
Saya Foundation in collaboration with Islamabad United Group and Industrial Area Police distributed edible bags among 150 workers/labours of Sunday market who deserve more than anyone in these hard times when they are not able to earn because of the closure of the market.
Darul Aman Foundation Islamabad Foundation in collaboration with Islamabad United Group and Industrial Area Police also distributed edible bags to 350 Families of Rimsha Colony Sector H-9, Islamabad as most of the families of Rimsha Colony are labourer/daily wagers.
Meanwhile, Bani Gala Police also distributed ration items among needful and police resolve that assistance for the labouring people will be make possible on regular basis, until Coronavirus comes to end in the country.
On instructions of IG Islamabad Amir Zulifqar and DIG Operation Waqarud Din Syed, ASP Bani Gala Rana Tahir Hussein and SHO Bani Gala Mian Imran with support of affluent people distributed edible necessities among needful people.
SP Zubair Shaikh distributed ration to 25 deserving families jointly with the representatives of different organisations.
Meanwhile, SHO Shahzad Town making misuse of authority baton charge scores of people gathered at Taramari Chowk to collect ration being distributed from philanthropists in the area. As a result, four persons reportedly got injured in baton charge of police in Taramari Chowk.
