ISLAMABAD: Country Director, Pakistan, of Cambridge Assessment International Education Uzma Yousuf has said it will be ensured that all the students around the world receive a fair, valid and globally recognised qualification.“The decision on grades to be awarded to students will be made by Cambridge, using our own evidence combined with evidence from schools. We are asking schools to collaborate with us as we make evidence-based decisions about grades for each student in each subject they have entered for in the May/June 2020 exam series,” she said in a statement.
She said schools are being asked to consider what evidence they will be able to gather to support these decisions. This evidence will include examples of work students have done to prepare for their May/June 2020 exams.
“We want to reassure our students that all qualifications awarded in the May/June 2020 series will carry the same currency as they have in any other year, enabling them to move forward with their future study and career plans,” she said. The statement said the Cambridge International’s FAQ for Pakistan covers many questions schools in Pakistan are asking and is being added to regularly as the situation evolves.
