CM says committed to safeguarding people from corona: All measures taken against coronavirus, says Usman Buzdar
LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said his government has taken all-out measures to safeguard the lives of people and every possible measure will be taken in future as well to protect the masses from the coronavirus. The government is standing by with the people of the province at this difficult time and will not leave them alone, he said in a statement here on Thursday.
We as government are with our masses in joys and sorrows and will always remain like that, he added. Usman Buzdar said he considers the difficulties of people as his own. We are not those who left the people in difficult times and the measures which are being taken by the government are meant for safeguarding the lives of people. We do not do politics of self-projection, rather we consider it a mean of thanking Allah Almighty, he added. He appealed to the citizens to ensure hundred per cent implementation of lockdown for the sake of collective safety of the nation. Today's social distancing will save us from the agony of a permanent separation, he said.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has extended salutations on behalf of his government to the doctors, nurses and paramedics engaged in providing treatment facilities to coronavirus patients.
The nation lauds the efforts being made by the doctors and paramedical staff in providing medical treatment to the patients in this time of trial, he said in a message here on Thursday, says a hand out.
He announced that the Punjab government will pay one additional salary to doctors and paramedics engaged in the treatment of coronavirus patients as special risk allowance. He said doctors and paramedics have proved themselves as the benefactors of the nation by serving the sick day and night and their valuable role will be written in golden words in the annals of history. The services of doctors and paramedics who are working on the frontline will always be remembered.
