LAHORE:Police booked the husband of a renowned dress designer and arrested him for committing negligence with regard to spread of coronavirus against the larger public interest.

According to police, one of the employees of Tahir Saeed, the husband of the dress designer, tested positive for coronavirus but the family let him go to Vehari instead of shifting him to any coronavirus centre for treatment. On the other hand, the dress designer said police had arrested her husband after he was tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. She appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to order his release. She said he was arrested in a midnight raid and was taken away as if he was a criminal. And the police also called her culprit, she alleged. She questioned why did police call her culprit and why did they raid in the middle of the night. The famed dress designer also wrote on her twitter account that her husband was tested positive for coronavirus. Later, police confirmed the arrest on their official twitter account and said that police action was justified as they conducted raid to arrest Tahir Saeed to save others.
