Safe City on Coronavirus: PSCA to have 60pc staff amid coronavirus concerns
LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) started to implement the orders of the Punjab government in view of coronavirus concerns here on Thursday. The authority has closed its daycare centre in response to growing concerns about the coronavirus and sent workers on holidays till further orders. PSCA has also given holidays to those female officers whose babies were enrolled in PSCA's daycare centre. According to a spokespersonor PSCA, initially, the staff of the PSCA, including police communication officers and other staff, have been reduced to about 40 per cent. However, after this, the remaining staff will be 60 per cent on duty.
Meanwhile, the city-wide monitoring will continue by the rest of the staff. Moreover, off-duty staff have also been instructed to be prepared in case of any emergency.
