Sad sectors

This refers to the letter, ‘Cosmetic facelift’ (November 26) by Shaheer Jasra. The writer has correctly pointed out the preferential treatment that the CDA has given to some so-called ‘VIP sectors’ during its recent facelift drive while ignoring many sectors like G-13 where roads and sanitation are in a deplorable state. It seems the further a sector is from sectors F-5, G-5, F-6, G-6, the Red Zone and the Blue Area, the worse its condition is.
Sector E-11 is one such sector. The service road east of E-11 is not only in a terrible condition but is outright dangerous for driving. It is a big traffic hazard for the people living in these sectors. One cannot understand what stops the CDA from widening, carpeting and fixing streetlights on this road. Why does the CDA not take over semi-developed private sectors like Sector E-11 and maintain them?
