Imran Khan, after having been elected to the National Assembly in 2013, has hardly attended an assembly session. Thus, his party’s contribution towards raising and solving national issues through parliament is almost zero. His dharna for over four months kept the whole nation in a limbo. The Judicial Commission formed on his demand to probe alleged rigging in the 2013 elections rejected all the allegations raised by him. Imran’s problem is that he thinks that he is always right. He levels wild and unsubstantiated allegations against whomever he wants and feels no remorse when proven wrong.
It appears that Imran enjoys publicity without being accountable. He keeps highlighting the benefits of western parliamentary democracy but belittles the National Assembly where he and his party members have been elected. With every passing day it is becoming doubtful whether Imran has the capacity and maturity to lead his party in the elected parliament. It appears politics of agitation and maligning others is his only forte.
