It is better to hold local government elections in Sindh and Punjab in phases after having gone through a terrible experience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where not only were lives lost but also too many irregularities recorded.
After the election we saw opposition parties blame the provincial government while the ruling PTI blamed the Election Commission of Pakistan for the fiasco. To avoid a KP-like situation the idea of phase-wise elections carries weight.
