Do we know Trimmu?

How many of us know that Trimmu in the Jhang district is a headwork right below the confluence of Chenab and Jhelum rivers? How many of us know that it is a pathway to a fairly large population which is on the one side of Trimmu and it is the only passage for them to travel to the other side? How many of us know that Trimmu was a headwork and under the Indus Basin Plan it has become a barrage? Do we know that the roadway on top of the bridge is quite narrow and traffic gets clogged when facing each other or when it rains?
The authorities concerned should take notice of this situation and widen the roadway on the barrage for the convenience of general public. It will not be a very cost-heavy project as iron rods have to be extended and will not take more than three months to do. But if it is done the traffic flow will become smooth and much better.
