On June 8, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan voted in favour of their preferred candidates; voter turnout was more than 60 percent. Now, as the winning party, the PML-N should prioritise the major issues and problems of Gilgit-Baltistan and try to solve them earnestly.
They should try to end corruption, improve law and order and governance. It must be ensured that the legislative assembly is not seen as a rubberstamp body any more. It is hoped that the new government will learn from the downfall of the previous government and establish exemplary government in Gilgit-Baltistan.
