Ever since the west reached an agreement on the Iranian nuclear programme, a new debate has started: whether this agreement is right or wrong; whether it is complete or incomplete. The majority of experts in the west are expressing their apprehensions and concerns about Israel’s security. But not a single voice is raised to point out that why Israel feels threatened. Somebody should tell all such ‘worried friends’ of Israel to do some soul searching and remove the ‘real causes’ of the existential threat to Israel.
If Israel goes back to its pre-1967 borders, will there be any existential threat to Israel? The world has seen enough bloodshed. It is time to make concerted efforts to bring peace to this bleeding world. Just remove at least two nuclear flashpoints from the world – Israeli occupation of Palestinian land the trouble over Kashmir. If at least these two potential dangers are resolved there will remain no nuclear threat to Israel and India.
