Captain Azhar Ali

This refers to the news story, ‘Azhar Ali named Pakistan’s new ODI captain’ (March 30). The decision came as a big surprise to cricket fans not only in Pakistan but all over the world. Azhar, who was not in the ODI team, has come from nowhere and now been entrusted the responsibility of captaining the national team.
People have voted against Azhar Ali being appointed as captain on social media websites. Almost 75 percent were against this decision. Cricket fans are of the view that Sarfraz Ahmed or Wahab Riaz would have been a better choice. But decision like this can only be made in Pakistan.
