The Saudis and the rest of their coalition partners in the Yemen conflict are looking up at Pakistan to provide them practical on-the-field military help. Leaders of all major political parties have huge investments in the Middle Eastern countries which have also been their safe havens and sanctuaries while in exile.
The Yemen scenario, in the larger interests of Pakistan, does not look good. It is not in the best interests of Pakistan to get involved militarily in the Yemeni conflict but can our corrupt, weak and subservient political rulers and leaders steer away the country without succumbing to the mounting pressure?
