This refers to the article, ‘Can we go back to normal?’ (February 26) by A V M Shahzad Chaudhry. This is an excellent piece on good governance. However, it could interest our leaders only if they messed things up through ignorance and not by design.
I remember a joke about the British parliament which came up with a very clear piece of legislation. And the legal fraternity, which thrives on ambiguities in laws, rose in anger, protesting that if the government made laws with such clarity, all lawyers could starve. See, it is a matter of priorities alone.
