This refers to the news story, ‘Brigade of ministers, advisers violation of 18th Amendment: Rahimdad’ (September 22). The PTI government has time and again clarified that keeping advisers in various ministries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is no violation of the constitution because they are not a burden on the national exchequer; they don't have to draw any salaries as advisers, nor receive any extra perks and privileges from the government. If the honourable Rahimdad Khan and his PPP are not satisfied with this clarification then instead of confusing the nation, they must go to a court of law.
The former PPP provincial president also criticised the PTI government for not taking any steps to stop terrorism in the province. May I ask him what steps his political party took in their five long years in power? The PTI has a clear counterterrorism policy – the war against terrorism is that of the US, and not Pakistan. And that drone attacks must stop. On the other hand, the previous government said one thing to the nation and quite another to the Americans. I request Rahimdad Khan and his party to not fool the nation anymore.
