Pak consul general in Dubai quits
DUBAI: Pakistan Consul General in Dubai Javed Khalil Khattak has given up the charge of office.
In his place Head of Chancery Rana Samar Javed will perform duties of Consul General for the time being.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif withdrew the services of Consul General in Dubai after listening to the complaints of Pakistani fraternity there as well as after reports of his unending differences with the diplomatic staff.
However, sources close to Javed Khalil Khattak have denied all such reports and said that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, he will not be able to perform his diplomatic responsibilities in Dubai. These sources have claimed that Javed Khalil Khattak would be appointed in some other country.
It may be recalled that Javed Khalil Khattak had taken over as Pakistan Consul General in Dubai in September 2013.
