Islampura Police claimed to have arrested a suspect for allegedly collecting extortion money for a banned outfit on Thursday.Police said that the arrested suspect Tariq had threatened a lawyer, Khurram Shahzad to kill him and demanded Rs1,000,000 as fund for a banned outfit. Police registered a case against the suspect on complaint of the lawyer and arrested the suspect after tracing his mobile phone.  CIA Nawankot police claimed to have arrested a drug-dealer and recovered about 2kg heroin from his custody on Thursday.A police team raided on a hide-out in Maskeenpura on a tip-off and arrested the suspect Nawaz Ahmad. Police also recovered 2kg heroin from his custody and registered a case against him.

body found: Body of an infant was found in the Manawan police limits on Thursday.Police said that the victim was found dumped near a farm of buffaloes “Wada Gujjran” in Lakhoder. A passerby spotted the body and informed police. Police removed the body to morgue, collected forensic evidence from crime scene and registered the statements of the eye-witnesses.
