LAHORE
Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah speaking in Punjab Assembly on Thursday stated that the Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project was the most cost-effective project of the government. Sanaullah’s praise for the project led to members of the opposition to protest in the House.
The session experienced an exchange of harsh words between Sanaullah and opposition members over the project.
Sanaullah criticised the opposition for denouncing the project which he termed the most cost-effective development project. Opposition leader Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said he would resign if the project proved to be cost-effective. Otherwise Rana Sanaullah would have to resign, he added.
