SC dismisses plea for continuation of trial against Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a plea seeking continuity of individual trial of former President Pervez Musharraf under high treason act.
The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed including Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Maqbool Baqar heard the case filed by Advocate Tauseef Asif against Special Court order.
During the course of proceedings petitioner Advocate Asif Tauseef appeared before the bench and stated that the Islamabad High Court heard the arguments of other three petitioners but dismissed his petition without any hearing. The court directed the petitioner to contact the Special Court which is a appropriate forum.
