18 new professors join IIU

Islamabad: Eighteen new full professors joined the International Islamic University (IIU) on Monday.

To welcome them, the Academic Staff Association of the university organised a special ceremony.

In addition to the new professors, 24 associate professors, assistant professors and lecturers, who were appointed to the various departments, were also in attendance.

These appointments were approved by the Board of Governors of the University in its 78th meeting.

“The do-more policy is prerequisite in terms of improvements in education. The IIU will seek the maximum results from the newly inducted faculty members who have become an omen of strengthened academic wings of the university,” said IIU rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai.

He said the administration would continue striving for the development of the university.

IIU President Dr. Al-Draiweesh said hard work led to success and that a galaxy of new professors and associate professors at the IIU was an example of the administration’s mutual efforts.

“Teachers are the fate changers for Muslim Ummah. They must take their responsibilities with due dedication and nurture youths in the best contemporary manners,” he said.

ASA President Dr. Zafar Iqbal lauded the support, cooperation and dedication of the IIU leadership and said the new appointments would help the university grow.

The new inductees than-ked the IIU for trusting their abilities and said they would do their assigned tasks to the best of their abilities.
