A retired session judge, Javed Rashid Mehboobi, has moved a petition to rename the Lahore High Court Punjab High Court.
Mr Mehboobi in his petition before the Lahore High Court said that names of other two High Courts, Balochistan and Sindh, were after the names of their respective provinces and the Lahore High Court name should not be after a city. He said that the High Court deals cases of the whole province and its name should also be Punjab High Court. —Correspondent
