This refers to the article, ‘Will Fata change?’ (February 3) by Ayaz Wazir. The answer to the question: ‘Will Fata change?’ is that Fata ought to change for the better. As the writer has rightly mentioned, there has been gross (read: criminal) negligence of the so-called tribal belt. It is time measures were taken to bring it at least on par with the rest of the country.
Leadership is required for to bring about change, and the main focus should be the hardworking, patriotic but poverty-stricken and long neglected people of the area. That does not require reinventing the wheel.
