The body of a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officer was found on Sunday night in his abandoned car on Lyari Expressway, in the Jamshed Quarters police remit.
As per the police, Police Constable (PC) Mohammed Ali was found dead inside his car and the deceased, who was deployed at FIA’s arrival counter at the Jinnah International Airport, had sustained a bullet in his head.
The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy and other legal formalities.
Moreover, investigation teams of the police and the FIA reached the spot to conduct a forensic analysis of the vehicle, which has been seized for further investigations, and also contacted the deceased family to get details of his movement.
According to the Jamshed Quarters police, the motive of the murder was yet to be ascertained and they were still doubtful over whether he was possibly killed somewhere else and his body dumped in their jurisdiction. A case has been registered and a probe is under way.
