The National Assembly standing committee on Cabinet Secretariat will examine next week the proposed Capital Administration and Development Division budget for the next fiscal.
The CADD oversees healthcare, education and social development in Islamabad’s urban and rural areas in the post-decentralisation regime.
In a meeting scheduled to take place at the parliament house on Wednesday (February 10), the participants will weigh up the allocations sought by the CADD including attached departments from the Public Sector Development Programme 2016-17 for ongoing and future development schemes and give their opinion and recommendations on them.
Later, the committee will finalise its proposals on the sought-after budget for submission to the finance division for consideration.
Also in the meeting, the proposed CDA budgetary allocations will be reviewed.
Besides, the committee will also look at three laws proposed by MNAs, including Beleum Hasnain’s Special Citizens Bill 2015, Zehra Wadood Fatemi’s lslamabad Compulsory Civic Education Bill 2015 and Compulsory Blood Test for Relatives of Thalassaemia Patients Bill 2014 Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho.
Chairman of the committee Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan will preside over the meeting, where the committee members and the relevant CADD and CDA officials will be in attendance.
