The rupee gained three paisas against the U.S. dollar on Friday owing to an expected ease in the monetary policy announcement scheduled for Saturday (today). The rupee ended 104.92 against the dollar from the previous day close of 104.95 in interbank foreign exchange market. Dealers said importers were cautious in buying dollars on expectation of reduction in discount rate. The interbank market opened in band of 104.93-104.95. The market recorded the high of 104.95 and the low of 104.91. In the open market, buying and selling of dollar was at 106.40/106.65.
