PBC trainees visit ‘The News’

A delegation of trainee subeditors of Radio Pakistan, led by Vice Principal (News) of the Pakistan Broadcasting Academy Mohammad Tariq Chaudhry, visited the offices of ‘The News’ and daily the ‘Jang’ here on Thursday.

The delegation was warmly received at the offices of 'The News' and 'Jang' and were taken for a round of different sections of the newspapers; reporting, computer section and printing section and were told about different stages of final shape of the newspapers.

The delegation was given a briefing about different processes of newspaper preparation and production and its services as one of the biggest organisation for providing information and awareness to the people. 

The delegation was visibly impressed by the ambiance, working conditions and system of preparing the newspaper. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the use of electronic media and their co-existence together.

The visiting delegation applauded the services of Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman, founder of Jang Group of Newspapers and role of Geo channels in media industry of Pakistan.
